Love People

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. -Matthew 28:19

SC Mission Trip 2007

God makes it clear through His Word that He doesn’t just wanted us sitting around, content in our salvation, but that he wants us sharing it with the world! Christ calls us in Matthew 28:19 to make disciples. He wants us the tell everyone the good news of His death, burial, and resurrection. He wants the world to know that they, too, may spend eternity in heaven with the Father if they place their faith and trust in Him.

At FBC, we place a great emphasis on evangelism and telling the world about Jesus. Our youth group is no exception. Through regular missions activities and an annual summer mission trip, the youth gain real experience in sharing the love of God in practical ways. Preparing them for a life of service to our King, we provide our youth with many opportunities to serve God in real, life-changing ways.

In 2007, the youth group traveled to Beaufort, South Carolina and spent a week ministering to families in a Habitat for Humanity community Construction Projectthere through construction projects to help complete homes and through hosting an evening Vacation Bible School for the children of the community.

We can take lessons learned at times like these and apply them to our everyday lives. There are people in our communities—even in our own families— who need the love and grace of God. At FBC, we stress the importance of evangelism and missions as a lifestyle, not a summer trip.
