PARENT INSIGHTS FOR APRIL 2010
During Sunday School throughout April, the youth class will continue examining the topic of “ministry.” We’ll be answering the questions:
Why does Jesus’ resurrection matter? What does it mean for my life?
What do I need if I want to serve God?
Why should I serve God?
What can I give a God who has everything?
On Sunday evenings, we’ll be looking at Baptist theology. During April, we’ll be looking at Baptist views on the Scriptures (April 11), God the Father (April 18), and God the Son (April 25). Future topics will include God the Holy Spirit, Man, Salvation, Grace, the Church, Baptism, Communion, the Sabbath Day, Revelation, Evangelism, Stewardship, Social Issues, and Family. To help us in this study, we’ll be utilizing the Baptist Faith & Message Study Book, co-written by Charles S. Kelley, Jr., Richard Land, and R. Albert Mohler, Jr. If you would like a copy for yourself, extras are available in the youth room. Cost is $7.00. Students in youth group will receive a free copy.

SUMMER 2010 PLANS ANNOUNCED: We’re Going to Gatlinburg!
The Youth Team has announced that the Youth Group (Grades 7-12) will be going to Gatlinburg from June 18 to June 17, 2010. More information on the trip is available on the main page of this website. An informational meeting will be held in November. Deposits are due by January 17.
Introducing the Youth Team…
The Youth Team is a group of church members who oversee the youth and children’s ministries at Flemingsburg Baptist Church. They represent different areas of our ministry (younger children, older children, youth, family ministry) and the church at-large. We are here to serve the children, youth, and families of our congregation and community… please let us know if we can be of any service to you!
