FAMILY DEVOTION
Click here for this week’s family devotion. This devotion is intended to provide you with ideas of how to discuss Biblical truths with you student at home prior to their Sunday School meeting. This week’s lesson is “One Community.” If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me at flemingsburgbaptistyouth@yahoo.com.
PARENT INSIGHTS FOR OCTOBER 2009
During October, students will be studying the very beginnings of the church in the book of Acts, as well as the role of the church as described by Jesus Himself. Students will also be working toward memorizing all 66 books of the Bible by the end of the month. A tournament will be held and prizes given to the students who can successfully name – in order – the books of the Bible and divide them into their proper sections (Law, Minor Prophets, History, Gospels, etc.). Help your student by asking them to recite the books of the Bible at home. If you have any “tricks” to remembering the books (like General Electric Power Company = Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians), teach them to your kids! Show them that you value God’s Word and think that it’s important that they learn how to clearly navigate it!
